Global Trade Documentation Specialist

HIMON: DIGITALIZING GLOBAL FREIGHT. We are transforming documentation from a bottleneck into a seamless, digital process. This Specialist will ensure all international commercial and regulatory paperwork is accurate, verifiable, and processed quickly through our automated systems.

ROLE SUMMARY

This role is responsible for the precise handling and digital conversion of critical trade documents, including Bills of Lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and import/export declarations. The specialist ensures that all documents meet compliance standards for rapid customs clearance and serves as the internal expert on document verification and regulatory filing nuances for different countries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the collection, verification, and digital filing of all required trade documents for FCL/LCL shipments.

• Ensure all paperwork adheres to international standards and specific customs requirements for various trade lanes.

• Liaise directly with ocean carriers, ground handlers, and internal compliance teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.

• Utilize Himon’s proprietary platform to automate and streamline the document submission process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years experience specifically in trade documentation, import/export operations, or customs brokerage.

• In-depth knowledge of Bill of Lading (B/L) types, commercial invoices, and trade finance terminology.

• High proficiency in data entry, document control, and logistics management software.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
